When do owners get paid? Payout windows and cadence
Your company payout day defines the collection window each run pays out. Day 10 means the June run pays rent collected May 10 → June 10; set day 1 to pay the prior month in arrears.
Every company has a payout day (Settings → Company; default the 10th, capped at the 28th so every month has one). The run on your payout day pays rent collected since the previous payout day.
Examples
- Payout day 10: the June 10 run covers money collected May 10 → June 10.
- Pay on the 1st for the prior month? Set payout day = 1. The July 1 run pays June's collections — paying in arrears falls out naturally, no special mode needed.
Changing the payout day only moves future runs; approved history never shifts.
Why an Airbnb payout can land in the "wrong" month
Airbnb pays out on each booking's own monthly anniversary. If an Airbnb payout arrives after your payout day, it simply rolls into the next run — a one-cycle delay that's inherent to how Airbnb disburses, not a bug or a missing payment.
How the math stays honest
Under the hood, each run pays every booking "what it's owed to date, minus what previous runs already counted." Because the math is cumulative, any sequence of run dates partitions the money cleanly — no double-pays and no gaps, even if you mix in an off-cycle run mid-window or change your payout day between months.
Reviewing a run
Open Payouts to see the current window's draft: per-owner totals, per-booking lines, management fees, and any deductions. Drafts recompute freely — nothing is final until you approve. Approving your first run also freezes your payout baseline.
